We wish to thank the Public, Councillors and Candidates (for the local elections) who attended the Carrigaline Community Association Public meeting.  The following is a list of items discussed;

·         Anti –social behavior and the vandalism of bus shelters in the Carrigaline area.

·         A discussion on Carrigaline being a poster free area for the Local & European elections and it was agreed by majority - it will go before the next Carrigaline Community Association Director’s meeting on 1st April 2019.

·         A discussion on the lack of Police Forum meetings in Carrigaline - it is hoped that these meetings will restart again shortly.

·         A thank you to the Cllrs. for their support in getting the 220 bus route upgraded.

·         A presentation to Carol McCarthy on her retirement from the Junior Youth Club after 20 years’ service and dedication to the Youth of Carrigaline.

·         A discussion on CCTV for the Carrigaline area.

·         A discussion on the Cork County Council, Part A Plan for the Ballinrea road where there was a number of submissions from Resident’s Associations and The Carrigaline Community Association.

·         A query regarding the traffic lights and layout at the new housing estate Janeville, where at peak times it’s causing traffic congestion.

·         A query regarding on the number HGV Vehicles using the Ballinrea cross junction where the road network is very narrow. It was asked if these vehicles can be stopped from using these narrow roads.
